Advanced Parts Management

Advanced Parts Management

Schedules also benefit from advanced parts management. The 360 DSE is able to track parts used and received by an engineer, keep a record of van stock and ‘know’ which parts are required for a job and where and when they can be picked up. The 360 DSE can routinely schedule a start of day visit to a ‘drop box’ location where the engineer can pick up any parts necessary both to replenish van stock and complete that day’s jobs.

The 360 DSE can also deal with jobs awaiting parts availability, knowing when and where parts become available, scheduling the appropriate engineer to pick them up at the appropriate time. This mechanism allows for maximum efficiency in the schedules whilst still delivering a high first time fix rate as the engineers always turn up with the right parts. The 360 DSE ensures that the resource will not arrive to pick up the part before it is delivered, but may choose to pick up two parts at the same time for two different activities if appropriate. As a result the 360 DSE will reward those organizations with a tight control of their service logistics because it can deliver tighter more efficient schedules.
